‘Descendants’ Star Dove Cameron Does a Damn Good ‘Minions’ Impression (Video)

Dove Cameron dropped two new songs on Friday, but her greatest musical moment may have been a two-second impromptu performance just after midnight on “The Tonight Show.”

On what was technically Thursday’s show, host Jimmy Fallon asked the “Descendants” star to do her “Minions” impersonation. Cameron made our day by doing what we assume was a Minions’ version of “Barbara Ann” by The Beach Boys.

While talking about the “Descendants” movies, which focus on the teenage children of the original Disney heritage characters, Fallon abruptly turned the interview in a direction that memorialized Cameron’s deceased co-star, Cameron Boyce.

“It’s been amazing to be able to kind of go through that with– because it feels like such a national, such a worldwide loss,” said Cameron, who plays Mal, the daughter of Maleficent in the Disney Channel movies. “But it’s been amazing because we’ve been able to, like, find solace in each other and go through that together.”

Boyce, who was just 20, died in July. Weeks later, the Los Angeles County coroner concluded that Boyce’s cause of death was “sudden unexpected death in epilepsy,” which falls under “natural causes.”
